Life through the lense..

Look at that face, she is as happy as can be until...
Jake the tree warden yells..MAMA!!
No Ella..big trouble!
Poor thing..
Nevermind, my girls got a plan..
Is that boy still jumping off those presents?

Yep
Going..
Going...
Gone..

All the while I just sit back and watch it all happen. Sometimes I think exhaustion is so understated. Oh well, the tree miraculously is still standing, most ornaments intact and all the gifts under the tree are unbreakable. I may be tired but I'm not stupid!

Benefits..

My heart skips a beat everytime I hear "working structure fire" and I worry not only for my husband but all the firefighters who run into burning buildings. But if I can find any benefit at all to my husband being a firefighter it's that my firetruck obbsessed little boy gets to go on them whenever he wants. Jake has been in, on and on top of the fire trucks probably a hundred times but never has he been on one while it was moving. This past weekend he was in the Christmas parade and got to "drive" Santa through town! He was so excited when the truck started moving that his mouth never closed. However, now I'm in trouble:

Me- "Jake what is Santa going to bring you for Christmas?"
Jake-"Firetruck, a BIGGIE one, Jake drive it!"
Me-"Jake the firetruck will be too big to fit in your room"
Jake-"Momma need it, put the fire out!"

Leaving the bay-I will probably be posting this same picture 18 years from now when is actually driving one!

He's in the passenger seat

Santa thanks Jake for the ride!

Thanksgiving Weekend Recap

We had a fabulous Thanksgiving weekend full 0f great food, great times, lots of laughter and wonderful memories. There's nothing like getting to be with family and just have fun. We hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year and then headed off to Kalahari Waterpark to spend the weekend with family and we had a blast. However I do believe that I am headed to the chiropractor this afternoon after allowing my 10 year old to talk me into being shot out of a waterslide like a rocket, into a spinning bowl of water, and then being plunged into 6 feet of water! I hope I get the bravest mom of the year award for that one ;-)

(pics are posting backwards and i'm too tired to move them all around sorry)
