We brought it..

but it wasn't quite good enough. We played some tough teams and it was a great tournament. By Sunday my sweet boy was exhausted and beat up. His arms are covered in bruises and his poor hip looks like he was kicked by a horse. He gave 110% and I could not have asked for anything more from him. Our 2nd game was the most exciting. It went into double overtime with a score of 0-0 when Austin did an I-formation 33 blast fake 18 bootleg- in non football terms Austin faked it for a qaurterback keep and scored a touchdown to win the game! The game ended at 11:45 at night in 22 degree weather but was worth every single freezing second.
Our season ended 9-2 and was a great record for a great group of boys.

My quarterback

Thanks Kenzie- she was the best flag girl ever!

Now this is devotion, I mean come on I am soley responsible for keeping his shoes taped and tied-I just hope I get his autograph some day!
His other fan-who by the was is just getting his voice back!
A few of the crazies!
One of the captains

The play that gave him the hip crusher

Being helped up by the one who always is the first one there ( I was told if I ever run out onto the field I will be banned from games FOREVER!)

Is he not super cute or what-I can say that I am his momma

Kenzie and Aust

This is the team we played Saturday night and I do believe that #99 drove them all out to the bar afterwards- I would love to check his birth certificate (10.. hmm I'm not sure)

he was getting soo tired

They may not have won the tournament but these boys sure had a great time!

Bring it on...

We safely made it to Tennessee and I miss Jake's sweet voice and Ellie's super soft kissable face but today, TODAY is about Austin. Words will never ever describe what this sweet boy means to me and I am beyond excited to watch him play the best 60 minutes (and more) of football that he has ever played. I held him close this morning and it was the sweetest feeling ever. Something I don't normally get to do. He knows that beyond a shadow of a doubt I am his biggest fan ever and that no matter what happenes today, tonight or tomorrow I'll be proud.

So today we say.. BRING IT ON!!

(I was snagged a coaches pass to be on the field so look for some great photos maybe even as early as tonight!)

Why?

Why wasn't there somebody, anybody to help me?

Why did you let me walk out the door?

Why did you not tell me?

Why does it look like I was a racoon?

and for the love of god WHY did you take a picture of me!!

O.k. I am fairly certain that this was not my halloween costume, it wasn't just any old bad hair day, that is not my child, and I am almost positive that the back of my hair looked even worse than the front and I also believe I peed myself when I found this picture.

I'll be back I must redeem myself- but at this point is it even possible?

A busy busy weekend..

On Friday we took Jake and Ella to the circus. They loved it! Jake would get so excited he would shake and Ella clapped the whole time. The only time jake was a little afraid was the fireworks.

It's prayer time and a silly prayer answered...

Tomorrow is a huge day for Austin. We go for his 2nd opinion to see if his leg really is broken. I am praying with all my heart that he gets good news. He will be devastated if it is. He has his mind set that he is getting that cast off TOMORROW and will be headed to Tennessee to try to win it all! Please pray for my sweet boy, he has worked so very hard!
I mean come on if it really was broke would he be playing swords?

And for an answer to one of my silliest prayers...230 days of praying to be exact..my sweet girl has hair long enought for a bow! Kenzie this one's for you! She can't wait to be your biggest fan!

Maybe his wife will thank me someday..

We will be on vacation for Christmas this year so the kids have started to get some of the gifts that are too big to have Santa deliver(and that's my excuse and I'm sticking too it!). Here's Jake and "suppose to be" Ella's most recent gift. Ella is NOT allowed to touch any part of it yet and most definately cannot touch his food. I love watching Jake's imagination run wild and I am amazed at the things he comes up with for only being two.
Just like daddy he heads to the grill

Notice the hotdogs, icecubes and ball! Hey, I never said he was Wolfgang yet!

and yet again just like daddy-
"Momma too hot, burn it"
"I needa cool it down!"-this cracked me up!
and again just like daddy he opted for the microwave

It's obvious there is much work to be done but I promise that Thanksgiving dinner will be wonderful!
